How to get to the venue?

 

From Airport: Brussels Airport Zaventem

Transfer by bus

There is a convenient shuttle bus (Line 12) from the airport to the City. The bus station is located on level 0, one floor down from the arrivals hall at the airport.
It takes approximatively 30minutes to get to the city, get off at Schuman stop. From the Schuman stop, walk along "Rue de la Loi" (Wetstraat). The Charlemagne building is on the righthand side.
Ticket fare : You can purchase a ticket at the airport before boarding the bus from the GO vending machine located on platform C of the bus station. The GO vending machines at the airport and Schuman accept Maestro bank cards, coins and credit cards (approx. fare : 3,5 euros one way). The ticket purchased inside vehicle will cost you 6 euros.

Transfer by taxi

A taxi ride from the airport to the European Commission takes about 20 minutes and costs about 40 Euros.

Transfer by train

The normal metro tickets are not valid for travel on the Airport Line (train line) between the airport and Brussels; therefore you have to buy special trip tickets from the railway stations and at the airport railway station on Level -1 before boarding the train. There are three stops within the city at each of the main railway stations Brussels-Nord, Brussels-Centrale and Brussels-Midi. Get off at Brussels-Centrale.

From Train Station

Brussels-Centrale station (Gare Centrale) via metro to Schuman

At Brussels-Centrale station take the underground (Metro) in the direction of Stockel or Herrmann-Debroux. 5 stops on, get of at Schuman stop. From Schuman stop, walk along "Rue de la Loi" (Wetstraat). The Charlemagne building is on the right-hand side.

Brussels-Midi station (Gare du Midi) via metro to Schuman

At the Brussels-Midi station take the underground (Metro 2) in the direction of Simonis and change at Arts-Loi (Kunst Wet), take the underground (Metro 1) in the direction of Stockel or Herrmann-Debroux. 5 stops on, get off at Schuman stop. From Schuman, walk along Rue de la Loi (Wetstraat). The Charlemagne building is on the right-hand side.
