The call for abstracts and financial support applications is now closed
The attendance to the High Level Session on IPCC AR5 WG1 on 4 November 2013 is free. However, registration is mandatory.
To join the conference, you must first register into the system. On the registration form, please pay attention to the conference days you wish to attend and your profile (regular attendee, student, etc) since this has an impact on the registration process, and applicable fees. After registering, you will receive an email with a link providing access to the submission of abstracts and the financial support application where applicable.

Admission to all sessions from 4th to 7th November 2013, coffee breaks and lunches, internet access, conference material, the Welcome Reception on 4th November, the Conference Dinner on 5th November.
Travel expenses and local transportation, accommodation, other dinners.
The spouse/guest registration allows guests, 18 years of age and older, to accompany the conference attendee to the Welcome Reception on 4th November and the Conference Dinner on the 5th November. A fee of 70€ is charged for the Conference Dinner, but the participation to the Welcome Reception is free . Only one accompanying person per participant will be accepted. Guest registration does not include conference participation or materials, and is not for use by co-workers.
Payments of the registration fee will be on hold until the 20 June 2013. Depending on your profile:
To qualify for the discounted rate, a student must be currently pursuing MSc or PhD in a conference relevant degree program. In order to prove her/his status, the student must upload a copy of his student ID and/or a proof of enrollment through the on-line registration page which will be validate by the conference staff who will issue proper credentials to access to the subsequent steps on the on-line registration system.
All accredited journalists are invited to attend and participate in the Conference. The conference fee for members of the media will be waived. To submit your application for a press pass, please register and upload a scan (pdf version) of your press accreditation card. As from 20 June 2013, you will receive a confirmation email with a code bar to be presented at the entrance of the conference.
All refund requests must be received in writing (edita.kuzmova@ec.europa.eu) by 14 october 2013. No refunds will be issued after this date. A €30 processing fee will be assessed on all registration refunds due to cancellation.

The number of financial support awards is limited and we recommend applicants to provide all useful information and supporting documentation to make their case. Grantees must attend the entire conference in order to benefit from the financial support which covers the registration fees and reasonable travel and accommodation expenses. People selected for financial support will have their fees waived automatically. Those who wouldn't be selected will still get the chance to enjoy the early bird rate or the student rate (where applicable) by paying before 20 August 2013. (read more).
The conference participants must accept personal responsibility for insurance against travel risk and injury. While the organizers will make every effort to observe best safety practices, the European Commission encourages all participants to purchase adequate medical and liability insurance. Participants save and hold harmless the European Commission from any and all claims, losses and damages, on account of events beyond their control.
The speakers mentioned in this programme were confirmed at the time of publication (16/10/2013). It is possible that due to unforeseen circumstances some speakers will be replaced or will not be able to participate. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
