The Joint Scientific Committee for the World Climate Research Programme (jointly sponsored by WMO, ICSU and IOC), will hold its twenty-ninth session in Arcachon, France. The meeting will take place at the Arcachon Convention Centre, located in the heart of the dynamic town of Arcachon, overlooking the ocean. The Centre's co-ordinates are as follows:

Arcachon is located about 60 km from Bordeaux, just by the Atlantic Ocean and close to the Landes forest which makes it an ideal site for events and meetings. There is easy and direct access to Arcachon from all regions of France and major international cities (see the Getting to Arcachon page)
As a seaside resort, Arcachon has a wide choice of hotels with quite a few located near the Arcachon Convention Centre (see the Hotels in Arcachon page).
