Getting to Paris

Arriving by plane

Paris is served by two main airports, Roissy - Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY), respectively located on north-east and on south of Paris. Both airports are connected to Paris by Express subways (RER line B).

To get to the Venue from one of the two airports, follow the indications below:

 

From "Roissy - Charles de Gaulle" airport (CDG)

* Express subway (RER line B).

- take the RER B in CDG airport in direction to St Remy-Les-Chevreuses or Massy Palaiseau, get off at St Michel-Notre Dame station,
- follow the subway signs Line 10 in direction to Gare d'Austerlitz
- take the subway and get off at Jussieu station

* Taxis
A taxi ride into Paris can take between 40 minutes to 2 hours, costing between €55 (minimum) and €70 or more. The use of credit cards in Parisian taxis is rare, and personal checks are usually not accepted. It is customary to tip the driver about 10% of the fare, if service was good.

From "Orly" airport (ORY)

* Express subway (RER line B).

- take the RER B in Orly airport in direction to Charles de Gaulle airport, get off at St Michel-Notre Dame station,
- follow the subway signs Line 10 in direction to Gare d'Austerlitz
- take the subway and get off at Jussieu station

* Taxis
A taxi ride into ride into Paris can take between 40 minutes to 1 hours, costing between € 40 to € 55 euros. The use of credit cards in Parisian taxis is rare, and personal checks are usually not accepted. It is customary to tip the driver about 10% of the fare, if service was good.
