Anthropogenic Climate Change (ACC)

 

 

The WCRP Joint Scientific Committee established a dedicated Anthropogenic Climate Change (ACC) cross-cutting activity to facilitate:

• a more prominent role by the WCRP in the IPCC assessments and UNFCCC discussions and decisions;
• a more effective identification of the scientific priorities related to ACC issues, with a corresponding strategy and capability to address them within WCRP;
• a better definition of the interface with other ESSP partners based on these ACC priorities.

 

The WCRP JSC-30 encouraged the WCRP Projects and Working Groups to provide input on WCRP activities contributing directly to the issue of understanding, attributing or predicting the consequences of human activities in climate change.
